This Friday, 29 June marks the 25th year of SIDS and Kids Red Nose Day.
H&D are proud to support this organisation, which raises funds to not only educate the community and raise awareness of Sudden Infant Death syndrome, but to give much needed support to families who have lost a special child to it.
Take a little inspiration from the way we use red in our homes to brighten up our decorating palettes and dare to use these shades to add a little pop to your own colour scheme.
You could also consider hosting an event to gather a group donation for the cause. Why not quite literally ‘paint the town red’ and organise after work drinks? Head out on the town to sip on some red wine or delicious red cocktails like a strawberry daquiry, margarita, bloody mary and cosmopolitan.
For a more sedate occasion, just pull together some red items that you have around the house, make or buy some cute treats that have a splash of red – like raspberry tartlets and strawberry trifle – and organise a red-themed breakfast or lunch. Invite family, a group of friends or colleagues and raise some money for this cause as a group. Plus, it’s tax time and all donations over $2 are tax deductible!
While you’re at it, get your family and friends involved this Friday and grab any of the red nose merchandise on sale. For more information check out www.rednoseday.com.au
