Baby showers are so adorable. It’s a chance for women (and the occasional man) to sit around and worship the full belly of the lucky Mumma-to-be… and the most recently worshiped lady of the moment is Ash who is expecting a baby boy in the new year.
Ash’s baby shower was a handmade affair that came together with the help of close family and friends (plus a tiny bit of H&D magic) to make the day a very heartful ocassion.
The H&D ‘Cheat’s Trifle‘ recipe (one of our very first and most popular posts to date) gets another workout and the ladies are quick to devour these delish and super easy sweet treats. Yes, this is the same recipe that was used in our Halloween Special too – it’s a very versatile notch in any entertaining tool belt!
Ash’s Mum who is a doting Grandma-to-be put this adorable display together with the help of some of her friends. What a great idea! You could easily adapt this idea to any occasion by carving out the watermelon into a fruit basket or any other shape.
Ash’s sister-in-law made these gorgeous and delicious cookies that were personalised with the baby’s surname and made especially for the occassion. H&D can personally vouch for how yum these, so check out Vicky’s Facebook page for more bicky inspiration for any occasion. She has some really great Christmas biscuits that would make such cute presents.
Cupcakes on sticks make for cute little cake pops and more edible art. We’re a huge fan of green + blue in decorating and food is no exception. The pops of yellow add such a nice neutral touch to the mix instead of going with just blue for a boy.
H&D packed up some lovely party favors for the event with some personalised gift tags and wrapping that was colour coordinated to the occasion.
We just can’t go past an occasion that is hand made, with lots of heart and full of sweet treats!
